When young Mole is introduced by Ratty to the springtime delights of the river and its ways it is only the beginning of a series of adventures: Mole gets lost in the Wild Wood, Ratty finds Badger's winter home, and together the three friends have to control the irrepressible Toad in his shiny, red motor car.
