A lavish publication with new research and writing on world renowned Japanese multi-media artist, singer, songwriter and peace activist, Yoko Ono (born 1933). Accompanying a survey exhibition at Tate Modern in February 2024 of the same name, this richly illustrated book will explore the 'spirit of the avant-garde' in a unique and playful manner. Drawing on key themes in the show: audience participation and play, the book actively invites the reader and audience to encounter Ono's work dynamically: through music, reading, enacting, imagining and wishing.
