Slowly climbing snails (lumache in Italian) under a low-slung sun wrap around this perfect-for-every-occasion photo album. Xilocart is the artisan press of Mariaelisa Leboroni and is located in a small studio in the Italian hill town of Perugia.
For more than forty years, she has specialised in the art of xilografia – printmaking using engraved wooden block – with tools and techniques that date back to the fifteenth century. Her prints using this ancient technique and her original versions have been exhibited in museums all over the world.
