2018 will be the fortieth anniversary of Virago Modern Classics. Ahead of this anniversary, at the end of 2017, Virago is publishing an anthology entitled Writers as Readers, collecting forty of the wonderful introductions to Virago Modern Classics editions from the past four decades. The book will be published as a gift hardback, in the same stunning design style as the Virago Designer Classics collection.
