'I've spent most of my adult life as a musician, hardly working. Just the way I like it.
If I were to try and enter the civilian workforce now, and had to write a resume of my activities over most of my adult life, I might as well say I've been in gaol or marooned on a desert island.
My CV would be filled with great, unexplained chunks of time, punctuated by inauthentic public sightings where I was seen to be engaged in something decidedly dodgy. Music related but shifty.'
