Nature’s Way is one of the most glorious tourist drives in Australia – indeed the world – heading from Darwin in the Northern Territory out east to Kakadu National Park, south to Nitmiluk National Park (formerly known as Katherine Gorge) then north back to Darwin via Litchfield National Park. As well as the national parks, the route passes many lesser known but often almost equally sublime places. Louise showcases the journey with beautiful and dramatic photographs, the result of her phenomenal eye for composition and seeming endless patience to capture a scene at just the right moment. No shrinking violet, Louise heads out in all weathers and has captured the region in all its guises, from the still, parched dry season to the often violently stormy early wet season to the rich, exuberantly green late wet season. As well as landscapes, Louise gets to grips with showing us the rhythms and flows of the diverse flora and fauna to be seen along the route, with wonderfully shot images of many of the animals and plants that are part of this incredible landscape.
