Orwell Brennan, chief of the Dockerty police force in small-town Ontario, has enough problems on his hands. Dockertys mayor is up for re-election, and keeps trying to use Brennan to help her campaign. But things are about to get worse for Chief Brennan. A police officer from Toronto, who comes to Dockerty as part of a murder investigation, gets shot and killed in his hotel room.
