This last book in the epistolary series introduces new characters in Hidden Forest (including the Little Red Hen whose ornery neighbours won't help her plant her corn) while at the same time bringing some of the ongoing crises to a close. Wolfy Lupus and his cousin Fer O'Cious have sworn off trying to capture pigs, rabbits, and bears, and turn their attentions to new residents, Little Red Hen and her cousin Hetty. Meanwhile the other familiar characters welcome Little Red Hen by secretly planting the crop that her neighbours refuse to help with and possible banishing the wolves forever.
