Willow the Wombat is bored, bored, bored, bored! It's raining and he can't go outside to play. But down in the cellar, Willow finds an old chest, full of interesting things: flying overalls, a drinking flask and a long green woolly scarf. There's also a rusty old compass, two hot-water bottles and an old pair of flying goggles - all the things that had once belonged to his Grandpa; and in amongst it all is Grandpa's journal.
As Willow sits down to read the journal a magical thing happens, and Willow finds himself reliving Grandpa's great adventures! One minute he is zooming around in the sky in an old timber plane, the next he is an explorer. Many exciting adventures follow!
