Wildwood Dancing
An enchanting retelling of a classic fairy tale, with an unexpected twist, that you wont want to put down. Jena and her four sisters live in a castle bordering the Wildwood in Transylvania. It is a time when most people are too superstitious to go near the dark forest, but not the five sisters, for they have a secret. Every full moon the girls slip from their world into the other kingdom, where they experience the magic of the fairy realm. When tragedy strikes the sisters find themselves under the control of their vengeful cousin Cezar, who not only endangers the girls' secret but declares war on the other kingdom. Now it is up to Jena to save herself, her sisters and their fae friends, to do this shell need to learn to trust her instincts and believe in true love. Juliet Marilier has woven a beautifully fantastical story, this is one of my all-time favourite books and I would recommend it to anyone who loves magic and a good love story. Reviewed by 30hl

Joyful, beautifully rendered fairytale retelling
Think The Twelve Dancing Princesses meets The Princess and the Frog meets Pride and Prejudice, set in Transylvania - and if that doesnt grab you, really, what will. I love fairytale retellings, and this is one of my favourites. There is a magical Other Kingdom, an impossible quest, dark secrets, and the most nuanced vampire romance youll ever find. The Transylvanian backdrop and folklore set Wildwood Dancing apart. A real joy to read.
