Miami crime reporter Jeremiah Tabak is flirting with burnout and after weeks on a grueling story, he needs a break but is too restless to take one. His editor urges to look into a series of Palm Beach dinner party robberies that look like "soft" crime. At one of the parties Jeremiah recognizes a woman from his past, Mollie Lavender. He hasn't seen her in ten years and Mollie thinks of him as the biggest mistake she has ever made. She had a week long affair with him one spring break during college and she could never forget him. Now that her public relations firm is located in Palm Beach Mollie finds herself seeing Jeremiah a lot. The thefts continue sporadically as Jeremiah makes himself a presence in both Mollie's life and business. When Mollie is attacked the two team up to solve the mysterious thefts and identity of Mollie's attackers. Can these two find love again after all this time?
