Malvina Major is a much-loved and respected international soprano, performing on the world stage. As a young singer she turned her back on a promising operatic career in her twenties to marry a Taranaki dairy farmer, bring up their children and live on a farm.
Over a decade later she returned to singing and quickly built up a big international reputation, but her life was shattered when back on the farm her husband tragically died. Since then she rebuilt her career and is a much sought-after performer singing in concerts and operas around the world.
