VIDEO Rose loves Dimitri, Dimitri might loves Tasha, and Mason would die to be with Rose . . .
It's winter break at St. Vladimir's, but Rose is feeling anything but festive. A massive Strigoi attack has put the school on high alert, and now the Academy's crawling with Guardians-including Rose's hard-hitting mother, Janine Hathaway. And if hand-to- hand combat with her mom wasn't bad enough, Rose's tutor Dimitri has his eye on someone else, her friend Mason's got a huge crush on her, and Rose keeps getting stuck in Lissa's head while she's making out with her boyfriend, Christian! The Strigoi are closing in, and the Academy's not taking any risks . . . .This year, St. Vlad's annual holiday ski trip is mandatory.
But the glittering winter landscape and the posh Idaho resort only create the illusion of safety. When three friends run away in an offensive move against the deadly Strigoi, Rose must join forces with Christian to rescue them. But heroism rarely comes without a price . . .
Once bitten twice shy After the first book I went straight into the second book. In this novel we meet Rose's mother and more students at the academy. After a tough reunion with her mother Rose and friends go on a trip to a ski resort where everything breaks down. After losing a loved one it's all about survival as Rose and friends fight to survive against a strigoi attack which leads Rose to make an important first. Really entertaining and worth the money spent. christopher , 18/05/2013
An Excellent Sequel! This is a great second instalment to the Vampire Academy series. Fans of the first book will not be disappointed. This book has twice the romance and action that was in the first book making it an even more exciting and enjoyable read, not to mention the continuous thrilling events and surprises that keep you immersed in story. Readers learn more about the characters and their powers as this sequel unfolds. I recommend this to people who have a love for supernatural/fantasy novels. Sarah , 19/12/2008
