Kay's father is working late - as usual. Fed up, her mother bundles her daughters into the car and drives to her husband's Cambridge college to collect him herself. But when they arrive, the staff claim that nobody by his name has ever worked there . . .
Kay is puzzled by her mother's reaction - silent tears, not anger and confusion. And what is even more puzzling is the card on her pillow when they return home-
Will O. de Wisp, Gent. F.H.S.P. and Phillip R. T. Gibbet, Gent. F.H.S.P. K.Bith. REMOVALS.

This story took me in from the first chapter... I really had to know what was happening with Kay and Eloise and where their Father had gone. Intriguing narrative and little twists that keep you guessing. A fantastic debut novel, well done Andrew Zurcher! - Sam-Maree (QBD)

'The blue light rose like a flower in the night
when my true love came to me
she laid her left hand in my right
and the nightingale sang in the silkworm tree,
to me, when she came to me.
'Had never holy mountain height
nor so dread deep the sea
as the love my true love did me plight
when the nightingale sang in the silkworm tree,
to me, when she came to me.
'Then let the love leaves laugh with delight
and tremble my love to see
where she rises like morning new, and bright,
and let the nightingale sing in the silkworm tree,
to me, for she comes to me.' - Sam-Maree (QBD)
