A poignant and humorous tale of families, love and sex-changes . . .
Dana is a professor at the local university, but he has known his entire life that "he" should really be a "she". After months of therapy and a hormone treatment, he decides to take a sabbatical in order to complete his transition and have the final operation performed.
However, just weeks before he is due to start living life completely as a woman, Dana meets, and falls in love with, Allison, a student in his film class. And she falls in love with him. But Allison doesn't know what Dana has planned, and Dana is terrified that when he tells her, he is going to lose her.
Life in a small town is never anonymous, and when the locals discover Allison and Dana's secret, they make Dana's life as complicated as possible. Allison's daughter, Carly, feels they need educating and the Trans-sister Radio program, and her reluctant father's radio station, become the tools.
'Trans-Sister Radio' explores relationships and love, posing the ever-present question of our lives: can love really conquer all obstacles?
