Max Trader is a master craftsman: a maker of guitars. Jonny Devlin, on the other hand, is chronically unemployed.
Trader is solitary, quite, responsible. Devlin is a libertine, a drunk, a charming loser.
When they wake up one morning in each other's bodies, Devlin gleefully moves into Trader's comfordable and settled existance - leaving Trader to pick up the pieces of an other man's life which he cannot keep from spiralling out of control.
Penniless, friendless and homeless, Trader begins a journey that will take him beyond the streets of Newford to an otherworld of dreams and spirits. And there he must confront not only the unscrupulous Devlin, but also his own deepest fears.
