Kit is overjoyed when a moving truck arrives on her street. She's even more excited when a boy her age steps out. But Albert doesn't look as thrilled. He is sad, but he won't reveal why. After many attempts to cheer him up, Kit walks away defeated.

This is her chance to make Albert happy—she will (creatively) realize his wishes. But as each wish becomes increasingly harder to grant, Kit learns the powerful lesson that sometimes being a friend means waiting until the people you care about are ready to reach out.
