This is a book of strange journeys and wanderers, and destinations not reached. Through coastal cities, across dark plains, by water, through air, the journeying culminates in a series of poems about the first and final voyage of the great "unsinkable" ocean liner, the "Titanic".
The tragic end of the "Titanic's" maiden voyage signalled the end of certainty. In 'The White Star' a too-proud Fool falls endlessly, ancient bodies rotate slowly through the vastness of outer space and ghosts move tentatively towards the living, yearning for some barely remembered homeland.
