Alexander, nephew of the murderous King March of Cornwall, seeks to avenge his father, so sets out on a journey to Camelot in quest of justice. But, as it is not uncommon with such quests, events do not proceed according to plan, particularly when the young prince's path leads him to the Dark Tower of the sorceress, Morgan le Fay.
Alice, ever since she was a small child, has accompanied her widowed father on pilgrimages to the Holy Land, and to the shrine of St Martin at Tours. On one journey through the turbulent Frankish kingdoms they find themselves involved in a coup d'etat and the rescue of a young fugitive who brings with him a precious cup which he insists is the Holy Grail.
As a wise man once said "everyone has their own grail." And the cup, Holy Grail or not, brings the prince and the pilgrim together to find what they were really seeking, love, the greatest mystery of all.
