This work interprets selected parables of Jesus employing two important criteria: the ancient Greek virtue ethics and the rhetorical techniques of the progymnasmata or preliminary exercises for prose composition. It genuinely guides modern readers on the path of spiritual reflection and how rhetorically the parables were understood and interpreted by first century audience and how the parables still speak to modern readers.
