Back in the 1980s, Denis and Michael O'Donnell were at the centre of Dublin's college scene. Sandy-haired and blue-eyed, the brothers held court in that famous house, throwing the parties, turning up the music, and breaking hearts all around them. But as final exams approached and nerves began to fray, the crowd fell into bitter dispute. And a rift opened between the O'Donnell boys that neither knew how to heal.
Now, twenty years on, despite the passage of time and their wives' best efforts, the division between the brothers persists.
But now there's going to be a party. Saturday night. Up in Donegal, the O'Donnell heartland. And Denis's wife Julia thinks this might be the chance for a reunion. Between the brothers . . . between old college friends . . . and maybe even between herself and Denis.
