An Interactive Guide
Here is a novel and interactive guide to the Old Testament that helps you get a grasp on the stories and issues in just three hours. Many Christians are embarrassed that they know so little about the Old Testament. But to many it seems long, repetitive and even irrelevant. They start reading it and get fed up.
This guide addresses that problem in two ways:
- The storyline simply tells the Old Testament as a story from beginning to end in an uncomplicated and often humorous style. This outlines the main themes that form the shape of the Old Testament, and includes maps and a table of events and dates.
- The questionline highlights the problems involved in reading the Old Testament and how we should read it in our modern times. It compares parallel issues (such as family breakdown, work practices, ethnic warfare) which arose then and which are current now. It also helps us to understand the real character of God in the Old Testament, taking us beyond our sterotyped images.
