On an ordinary summer evening, Anna plays in the park, sitting on the old stone lion and feeding bread to the pigeons and the shy goldfish in their pond. But later, when Anna closes her eyes to go to sleep, she flies through the open window, and swoops and glides back to a very-changed park. The fish whisper their names and the moon glimmers in a pitch black sky. Suddenly, creatures stir, and Anna knows that she is not alone. Alexander, the stone lion, now real and wild, takes Anna for a ride to his secret place.
