Is Josh's craze for computer games just a harmless escape from the world - or could it let real dangers into his life?
When Josh and his sister Amy start to play their cousin Harry's Mummy Monster Game, they soon discover that it's no ordinary computer game. Set in ancient Egypt, it's filled with spooky images: bandaged mummies, weird gods whose human bodies have the heads of birds and animals, huge terrifying monsters. The graphics are brilliant. But there's more to it than that. Amazingly, the players soon begin to feel that they are really there, really inside the game.
As the game lures Josh, Amy and Harry into the chambers and corridors of an Egyptian tomb, it becomes more and more sinister - and more and more real . . . until it's hard to know where the game stops and reality begins.
