June Bronhill has been one of the most well-known and colourful personalities in international opera for nearly thirty years.
After studying with Dino Borgioli, she joined Sadler's Wells Opera Company and became one of their principal singers. Her outstanding performance of "The Merry Widow" in 1958 pulled the company back from the brink of financial ruin.
In this book she tells, with engaging frankness, stories and anecdotes from both her professional and private lives. Lighthearted, humorous and often outrageous, 'The Merry Bronhill' is, as June says, "straight from the horse's mouth".
