Amid the splendor of the African plains, all of the animals in King Mufasa's kingdom join to celebrate the birth of Simba, their prince. Only one lion - Simba's jealous uncle, Scar - does not attend the festivities. He remains lounging among the rocks, plotting his path to power. Many years later, after Scar's treacherous measures have won him the throne, Simba must find a way to reclaim his rightful title in order to save his kingdom.
