The nice young man Duke Modeset hired to rid the city of its plague has run off with its children, and unless the Duke can track him down and bring the children back, he's dead . . .
All that stands between the Duke's gravestone and the mason's chisel is a gaggle of useless mercenaries:
Groan Teethgrit, a man mountain with more fingers than brain cells,
Gordo Goldaxe, a dwarf who hates people looking down on him,
and Jimmy Quickstint, the most useless thief in history.
