Celia Thomason is a most reluctant medium. As a single woman trying to support herself in a male-dominated society, Celia realizes that she has a gift for telling people what they want to hear. She decides to go into business as a spiritualist. She puts people in touch with dead loved ones, allowing them to say good-bye. Things are going just fine for Celia, until she sets eyes on Angus Cameron. He is skeptical of her abilities, and immediately sees through her well intentioned act. Sparks fly as these two strong willed people learn to love each other and put their ghost to rest.
