MTC Cronin has published ten collections of poetry, between them shortlisted for the CJ Dennis prize for poetry, the John Bray Poetry Award, the Jessie Litchfield Award for Literature, the Age Poetry Book of the Year, the Judith Wright Calanthe Prize for Poetry, the Kenneth Slessor Prize for Poetry, and the Wesley Michel Wright Prize for Poetry. Cronin's poems have been published in Australia, the UK, the US and Chile, and translated into Spanish, Bosnian, Croatian and Serbian. She lives with her partner and daughters in Queensland.
'The Flower, The Thing' is a collection of 100 flower poems, dedicated to friends, loved ones, writers and others dear to Cronin's heart. Evocative black and white photographs of flowers accompany the poems.
