In the blue skies of a late English summer, history's greatest air battle was fought and the tide of World War II was turned. The fight was played out in a dramatic 15-week series of aerial combats, directly above the fields, towns and villages of southern England.
'The Few' paints a panoramic picture of the Battle of Britain. With vintage photographs and compelling first-hand accounts from the pilots - Allied and Luftwaffe - the groundcrew, and the men and women of the radar stations and planning rooms, it describes the Battle from the point of view of those involved. It also features over 100 colour photographs made in recent years that show the locations which played a vital role in the Battle, as they are today.
