On the lush Caribbean island of Martinique, two young men, Clement and Hippolyte, embark on a journey to woo the beautiful Pauline. But Pauline is a ward of the mysterious Monsieur Zabocat - reputed to be a quimboiseur, a wizard. To prevent the wedding, the old wizard lures Hippolyte into a deadly trap that forces him to choose between his friend's safety and his own.
