Ryuho Okawa was born in 1956 in Japan. After graduating from the University of Tokyo, he studied international finance at New York's City University. In 1986, after experiencing an enlightening vision, he renounced his business career and established the Institute for Research in Human Happiness (IRH). Since then, he has devoted his life to promoting awareness of the spirit world as a way of finding happiness.
