When Andy, a sheltered rich kid with a fondness for drawing dragons, sets out to find himself the sidekick he needs to pursue his chosen career of world-famous private detective, he doesn't have in mind a lonely twenty-nine-year-old bride with decidedly un-linear speech patterns - and he doesn't expect to be drawn into a real-life crime ring in an inner-city neighborhood a few miles but light years away from his own exclusive community.
