Fabulous flapper, Phryne falls foul of the tricks and rides of Luna Park, and becomes entangled in a murder chase.
Phryne Fisher is faced with an old murder mystery when she unexpectedly pulls the foot off a fifty year old skeleton in the Ghost Train at Luna Park. When threats start to spill in on her and her family, Phryne realises that the murder is obviously still of great interest to someone and she sets out to solve the puzzle.
The chase leads her to Castlemaine where she finds herself fighting for her life and that of two others. Meanwhile the gorgeous Lin Chung, also in Castlemaine on a mission to discover his family's misplaced gold, discovers Phryne's plight and sets out to save her.
