Daily Readings.
This book comprises a reading for each day of the year from the great range of C S Lewis's bestselling books. Compiled by Walter Hooper, the readings present Lewis in all his different moods. Sometimes he tackles the "big" theological issues, sometimes small details of the New Testament. There are words of comfort and inspiration, including the subjects of love, death and the power of prayer.
The extracts are linked where possible to the feasts and seasons of the Christian year. As Lewis said, "It is as well to have specifically holy places, and things and days, for, without these local points or reminders, the belief that all is holy and "big with God" will soon dwindle into a mere sentiment".
