Sudoku, on its face, is a deceptively simple game of logic - a grid of 81 boxes divided into nine 3 x 3 squares. The trick is to fill it in so that every row, column, and 3x3 square contains the digits 1 through 9, without repeating. In The Big Book of Visual Sudoku, a new challenging level has been added to the popular game.
In the new puzzles, each number in the grid is represented by an image or figure - for instance, a clock face with arms indicating 3 o'clock represents the number 3; a domino with a 6 dots on one side and 1 dot on the other adds up to represent the number 7.
The puzzles featuring playing cards, billiard balls, roman numerals, Arabic, dice, baseball diamonds, Chinese calligraphy - and range from easy to hard. In other words, Sudoku on steroids! Each puzzle page also includes rules for play and a fun fact and spot art selected to accompany the theme of the grid. And each puzzle is ranked as easy, medium, or difficult.
