A Complete Course
A comprehensive introduction, enriched with authentic Latin poetry and prose, to help the beginner to approach Latin reading and translation with confidence. This is a clearly structured course which progresses in easily assimilated stages and assumes no prior knowledge of Latin or of grammatical terms. Each unit has two sections, the first using well-chosen examples to explain new grammar, the second containing carefully graded Latin sentences and passages.
Where appropriate, a third section either introduces the reader to a topic of interest for Latin or Roman studies, or gives additional reading to introduce some of the most famous Roman authors. There are revision exercises after every third unit.
At the end of the book there are grammatical tables, a key to all exercises, an extensive Latin-English vocabulary and an index.
