Tara Hyland was born in Surrey, England, in July 1976. Her writing career began at the age of thirteen, when she won an award in the WHSmith Young Writer Competition. Her short story was published in an anthology along with the works of thirty other major winners - one of which included actress Kate Beckinsale.
At nineteen, Tara managed to get her first by-line in The Times. After attending college at Cambridge, Tara worked briefly as a journalist before moving into the world of high finance.
Several years later, Tara Hyland decided to pursue her love of writing, publishing her first novel 'Daughters Of Fortune'.
