In the style of the small, palm-size Japanese books, they will lure new readers into the world of the Otori. In this episode: Both Takeo and his beloved Kaede have visions of the future. Takeo struggles to escape the accomplished assassins of the Tribe and fulfil the last wishes of his adoptive father, Lord Otori Shigeru. And Kaede, heir to two seats of power, moves step by step toward consolidating them, aided by her own wits and a precarious alliance with Lord Fujiwara. In their separate worlds, the two long for each other, knowing that they are meant to be together, wondering if they will ever meet again.
