They are also invited to a cricket carnival which is a real-life, commonwealth government funded organisation which aims to "promote tolerance in all sections of the community and to break down racist divisions".

Spinner, the team's feisty old coach who comes with them is billeted with a nice widow who does a good line in curries, so there's some love interest. Plus, the last minute replacement for a sick team member turns out to be a girl, so maybe there's some more love interest in store. And to top everything, Adam Gilchrist presents the winning cups!
