Sydney Downtown

Bounded by George, Hay, Elizabeth and Campbell Streets, Sydney's Haymarket or downtown region has a history as rich and often as varied as that of the greater Sydney region. The road down Brickfield Hill became populated within a year or two of the foundation of the British colony.
