His "confederates" had placed over 1,000 multiple bets at highly lucrative odds on four horses in betting shops throughout London, as well as online. The events of that day were compared by those who took part in the 1960s cinematic classic, The Italian Job, such was the lengthy and intricate planning and the teamwork and discipline involved. However, this wasn't the first time Curley had won a huge amount of money from a race. The infamous Yellow Sam scam in 1975 saw a payout of over a million to Curley. Despite the huge changes in how bookies are now managed, Curley still has what it takes to win big establishing him as the ultimate horse racing gambler. Until now, Curley has refused to disclose the details of what happened that day in 2010. Here he reveals fully, for the first time, the story of two years' planning and preparation that went into that sting.
