From a bee-sting to a childhood re-visited.
A chance visit in the doctor's waiting room saw Australian artist Anna Glynn read and apply to an advertisement for an Artist in Residence program. Anna's application was successful.
What she didn't know was that the homestead she would live in was an old neighbouring property, directly across the Yarra river from the farm where Anna grew up in Warrandyte. An emotional journey followed – both magic and nostalgic – creating a special body of work – paintings and drawings.
A 12 metre panoramic lounge window overlooking the place of her childhood became the studio and doorway to Anna's wonderful story – her strange memories.
