'Storymakers' is a seven-level Religious Education resource for Catholic schools and parishes. 'The Storymakers' resource is written within the Catholic tradition and aims to share the story of Jesus with the children of the 1990s.
'Peacemakers' is the fifth of the teacher manuals in this series, and is for teachers of children in their fifth year of primary school. This level aims to explore with children the ability they have to be peacemakers in our world. There are nine themes in 'Peacemakers': Peaceful People; Good News; Celebrating Jesus; Our Church Story; Making Peace; Peace with the Earth; Beyond Christianity (Hinduism); Swap my shoes; Peace on earth. Each theme is divided into topics.
This teacher resource contains:
- Introductory material which includes articles on the Story of the Project: the Religious Education Journey, and the Instructional Process used in 'Storymakers'
- Learning approaches for each theme, which are grouped under the headings of the four-step Instructional Process
- A teacher reflection and overview for each theme
- Selected learning outcomes for each theme
- Activity sheets for topics within each theme
