Fanciful Steampunk Vision postcards, created in Paris 1910, colorfully illustrate a future that never was... with airships, robots, and more!
Originally from a series entitled En L'An 2000 (In the Year 2000) depicting imaginary scientific advances in the future world, the first cards were produced for the 1900 World Exhibition in Paris. These images, produced in 1910, may have been enclosed in cigarette/cigar boxes or packaged foods. The only known set of actual postcards was acquired by writer Isaac Asimov.
