A fun, light-hearted look at astrology - and how predictions can change lives. Whether you are a sceptic or a believer this story has a message for everyone. We all end up where we are meant to be, even if taking a different path than planned. Justine meets up with an old friend - Nick - after many years. She works at a magazine and covertly changes the predictions for Nick's star sign - she doesn't see any harm in it, just giving fate a helping hand. Yet there are repercussions; Justine did not think about the people other than Nick that read the column, and as a result huge life changes are made using fake advice. Interestingly, many of the other characters affected unintentionally do find things working out for them, sometimes a chance encounter is a spark for change. - Kerryn (QBD)

"A heart-warming and engaging romantic comedy for anyone who ever wanted to read an Australian equivalent of Love, Actually. The misadventures of our heroine Justine only get more and more out of control as she attempts to nudge the One Who Got Away back into her life by “adjusting” the one thing he holds sacred: his horoscope. This funny, sharp and wonderfully Australian debut novel from Minnie Darke hooked me with its wit, emotional core, and its intriguing and complex depiction of how one persons’ action can ripple out to affect the lives of so many others. A story that brings into question how much of fate can we really change ourselves, and how much is already written in the stars ." - Caitlin (QBD)
