AUTHOR: Alma Wynelle Deese is a graduate of Asbury College, Wilmore, kentucky, and the University of Mississippi. She is a certified psychologist, and while emplyed at Eastern State Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky became interested in the history of American psychiatric care. She researched the trends in early lunatic asylums, wrote articles on recycling mental health care, and discovered unknown pictures of American lunatic asylums on old postcards. That started her passion for collecting postcards.
