Kevin the dog likes his owners, and they like him. The children take him for walks and play with him, and at night he lies in his basket while the family watches television. But it is their father, George, whom Kevin loves. George either ignores Kevin or accidentally steps on him and sends him outside for getting in the way. But Kevin loves George with all his heart. He loves George so hard he thinks that George is God. Sometimes Love Is Under Your Foot is the story of how George comes to appreciate Kevin, and to recognise the love that had been there all the time.
