Slim Dusty: Another Day, Another Town

This is the completely revised edition of a book first published in 1996, with three new chapters to bring readers up to date with the lives of Slim Dusty and his wife Joy McKean, and a moving Epilogue written by Slim himself. In the final paragraph he writes:

"It seems I've done most things I wanted to do, but of all things, I think I most enjoy finding good songs and recording them. There are so many songs I want to record that I will be kept busy for as long as I can keep it up . . . It is the people you meet along the road of life who make the travelling easier. No wonder I loved it all."

And no wonder he is so well loved.

This is the only biography of Slim Dusty and his family. Written by Slim and Joy, the new edition coincides with the celebrations this year to mark the sixty years since Slim made his first recording with EMI.
