Bert Verwelius' new book shows natural feminine beauty in all of its facets, whether nude or clothed, in colour or in black and white. Thanks to many workshops with famous and lesser-known photographers all over the world, Verwelius has continued to develop his style over the last 10 years, becoming a master at using a variety of light sources in his work. In his photoshoots, Verwelius handles every detail himself: planning, casting the models, set decoration, and providing perfect lighting. 'Simple Beauty' is Verwelius' second book, his first being 'Pussy Riot', his portrait of the punk rock band. Photographic artist Bert Verwe lius was born in 1953 in the Netherlands. He is self-taught, but was already taking pictures at fourteen. At 15, he already had a darkroom for developing his own photos.
